Wind Power, Revised Edition: Renewable Energy for Home, Farm, and Business Customer Review: Buy this book before investing in wind power!
Unless you already work in the wind industry (and even if you do) this book is invaluable. It contains very detailed information of nearly all aspects of wind power. I’ve only had this book several weeks and have not yet purchased a wind mill. I especially like the sections on towers, safety and the comparison charts for many models of turbines.

Customer Review: Inspirational Secondary Reading For Those Thinking About Or Planning To Start A Business Venture
While I can not speak for everyone, I am confident to say… this book isn’t for you if you are planning to start a business within the next 1-2 months. You should definitely go to the largest public library in your area and review the numerous business startup books that are available. If you feel a particular book is worth re-reading or to keep as a future reference, you should buy the latest edition of such a book. (Use the book’s ISBN number to search online for the newest edition that is currently available.)

What you will get from this book:

This book will offer you inspirational stories divided into appropriate sections such as planning, funding, marketing and advertising. These are short stories of successful business owners interviewed or researched by the author, which consists of either: what the owners did right, what the owners did wrong, the challenges they had faced, and examples of how they would of had done something differently if given the chance to.

What you will not get from this book:

If you feel that, by reading stories of successful people will kick-start your creative engine, then spend the small amount that it costs to own this book. However, if you want information for “detailed” instructions on how to acquire loans and fundings, then this book will not help you.

With the handful of business startup books that I had borrowed and purchased, most of them do not offer any more information other than the basic explaination of places to request loans from. (Examples of funding resources are the SBA-Small Business Administration, Banks, Angel Investors, and Venture Capital Firms)

I recommend borrowing a copy of SBA Loans: A Step-By-Step Guide. - By Patrick D. O’Hara
ISBN # 0-471-23347-1

” Are Your A Professional? ”

The following short quiz consists of 4 questions and will tell you whether you are qualified to be a “professional.”

Scroll down for each answer. The questions are NOT that difficult.

1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

The correct answer is: Open the refrigerator put in the giraffe and close the door. This question tests whether you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way.

2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Open the refrigerator put in the elephant and close the refrigerator. Wrong Answer!

Correct Answer: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door. This tests your ability to think through the repercussions of your previous actions.

3. The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend except one. Which animal does not attend?

Correct Answer: The Elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator. This tests your memory.

OK, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your true abilities.

4. There is a river you must cross. But it is inhabited by crocodiles. How do
you manage it?

Correct Answer: You swim across. All the crocodiles are attending the Animal Meeting. This tests whether you learn quickly from your mistakes.

According to Anderson Consulting Worldwide, around 90% of the professionals they tested got all questions wrong. But many preschoolers got several correct answers. Anderson Consulting says this conclusively disproves the theory that most professionals have the brains of a four year old.

A few quick points on The Master Plan.

I got a copy yesterday. I am only partially through the book as of now, but to this point Charles has done a very good job explaining LSI and using examples to demonstrate its application.

So far, I have found the information to be more of a reinforcement of how to build a quality search engine friendly site.

Theme specific with related sub theme information segregated into tightly focused “Silos” as he refers to them, which are simply directories (folders) within the site.

This helps maintain a logical linking structure that will continually reinforce your sites theme to the search engine spiders and in turn should help your sites rankings for related search terms.

Software Reuse : Architecture, Process and Organization for Business Success Software reuse sounds great in principle (why rewrite code you have always written once?), but converting principle to practice has proved daunting. Software Reuse explains what it takes to build reusable software, from business characteristics to engineering requirements to techniques you can implement during design stages.
Customer Review: Great place to start
This is an excellent book for developers, architects, project managers, and development managers. It clearly explains how to adjust your development practices to achieve reuse at all levels. I found it particularly helpful in diagnosing common management issues that hinder reuse practices. This book has helped me gather the information needed to effectively establish reusability.
